ACI EUROPE confirms Javier Marín for second term as Association President

Rome: ACI EUROPE is pleased to announce the confirmation of a second term of office for current President, Javier Marín.
Mr Marín, Managing Director, Airports and Executive Member of the Board of Directors for Spanish network operator Aena, was reconfirmed in his position following ACI EUROPE’s 32nd Annual Congress and General Assembly, hosted by Rome Fiumicino Airport.
Upon his appointment, Mr Marín said “To say that the European airport industry is experiencing a challenging recovery would be an understatement. Those challenges range from the immediacy of upscaling our facilities and rebuilding air connectivity for our communities, to transforming our business with a focus on decarbonisation and sustainability along with future-proof revenue generation and economic models. Considering how crucial the securing supporting policies and regulations is going to be in this, it is clear the role of ACI EUROPE as the voice of Europe’s airports has never been more important. It is an honour to once again represent my esteemed colleagues across the European airport industry as President of ACI EUROPE”.
During this year’s General Assembly, the following were also appointed to the Board of ACI EUROPE for a first term: Mr Dick Benschop, President and CEO, Royal Schiphol Group (THE NETHERLANDS), Mr Riivo Tuvike, Chairman Management Board, Tallinn Airport (ESTONIA), Mr Abraham Foss, CEO, Avinor (NORWAY), and Dr Yiannis Paraschis, CEO, Athens International Airport (GREECE).
Appointed to the Board for a second term were Mr Julian Jäger, Member of the Executive Board and COO, Vienna International Airport (AUSTRIA), Ms Eleni Kaloyirou, CEO, Hermes Airports (CYPRUS), Mr Arnaud Feist, CEO, Brussels Airport (BELGIUM), and Mr Jonas Abrahamsson, President and CEO, Swedavia (SWEDEN).
